The original GO was intentionally minimalist. A clean layout, a classic 7-segment display positioned in the lower front panel, straightforward controls—everything was functional and focused on the essentials. The new GO builds on this concept and takes it a step further. The differences are immediately visible: The new OLED display is now positioned in the upper front section. It is brighter, offers higher contrast, and is significantly easier to read—whether you're still sleepy in the morning or preparing coffee in dim lighting during the evening. Furthermore the area surrounding the display has been redesigned: new LED-illuminated time-dosed brewing buttons, an updated steam valve handle, and a newly designed portafilter. The overall appearance feels more modern while preserving the character of the GO.
More visibility, more control: the new display concept
The switch from the traditional 7-segment display to the OLED display is much more than a cosmetic upgrade. The new GO presents considerably more information at a glance, guides users clearly through menus, and makes functions easier and more intuitive to access. Important settings can also be reached via convenient shortcuts. This not only improves clarity but makes daily operation noticeably more enjoyable.
The difference you notice every day
What makes a single-boiler espresso machine unique is that both espresso brewing and steam production are handled by the same boiler—yet each requires a different temperature. The GO makes switching between these modes particularly convenient. In espresso mode, the machine maintains the selected brewing temperature, for example 93°C. For milk frothing, the boiler temperature is increased to a steam temperature of approximately 127°C. After steaming, the machine returns to espresso mode at the press of a button and pumps fresh cold water into the boiler. During this process, "Flush" appears on the display, indicating that water should be run through the brew group until the espresso temperature has been reached again. As a result, the GO quickly returns to the ideal brewing temperature while simultaneously cleaning the brew group.
The GO now also features a hot water function through the steam wand—ideal for preparing an Americano or tea—as well as adjustable pre-infusion. In addition, the new GO not only assists during coffee preparation but also improves everyday usability. If the machine detects a low water level, it actively notifies the user while ensuring that an ongoing espresso extraction is not interrupted.
Easy going: maintenance and care
Proper maintenance and cleaning are essential for ensuring long-term enjoyment of the machine. To make this process as simple as possible, the GO includes integrated maintenance programs such as an automatic group cleaning cycle and a guided descaling program. There is also the option of connecting a water filter directly inside the water tank. To complement this feature, an automatic filter replacement reminder can be activated and adjusted according to the local water hardness.
A flexible portafilter for different needs
The GO also takes a step forward when it comes to the portafilter. The new modular portafilter allows for different configurations: bottomless, with a single spout, or with dual silicone spouts. Particularly practical is the low-profile design of the silicone spout, which creates more space between the portafilter and the cup. This makes it easier to accommodate different cup sizes and provides a more comfortable workflow when using a scale.
